Cigar Cutter Information

You're probably considering between functionality and style when thinking of buying a cigar cutter. Unless you're really going low-end, you may not have to choose between the two. You can get function and form in a cigar cutter without parting with too much dosh if you shop in the right places. There are some online retailers that charge a lot for not a whole lot, and there are some surprising places (like amazon.com for example) where you might find what you're looking for... for a great price. So why not get it all?

The first image there on the upper left of the page is a guillotine cigar cutter that has razor sharp blades. You may not be able to tell from the photo, but you won't be able to cut the super large and think cigars with this one, but at about a $5 price tag, you can't go wrong. This cigar cutter is all function and very little style, although the guillotine style is pretty neat looking in it's own right.

There's also the rosewood cigar cutter that is very stylish looking. It is also heavy and solid in the hand, and larger than it may appear in the picture. Men would love this cutter for it's old-world looks. Some have complained the blades are not sharp enough, but if you like the look, getting them sharpened or doing it yourself would be little trouble. Then you'd have a very nice cigar cutter for your needs.

The last pictured is the noir black cigar cutter. This one is made in Slingen, Germany and has a very special type of blade. The blade has a Rockwell C ratting of 55, which means it is hardened to the extent that it is probably the sharpest and hardest one you can purchase. The outer part of this cigar cutter in the xikar shape is a very lightweight nylon fiberglass composite material. This approximately $80 cutter looks amazing, performs even more amazingly, and is stylish to boot. You just have to decide if the form and function fit the price for you.
